CODE of skills and recruitment models for sustainable economy volunteers
This CODE OF COMPETENCES is the result of broad research in the field, in order to define and organise the skills of volunteers - including insights on knowledge about sustainable economy - and to structure a subsequent model of recruitment and reception:
A definition of the needs and expectations of citizens who want to commit themselves to the creation of selective and motivational information tools.
Result one of the VoW project is useful for anyone within the Fair-Trade volunteering movement and others interested in retail – oriented volunteering. It covers a breadth of topics, which will on one hand help you understand the overlap and differences in the volunteering infrastructure of the Fair-Trade movement in the various participating countries and on the other will help you gain insight into which competences are developed, desired and missing within volunteering in Fair-Trade country specific overlap and differences between the Fair-Trade umbrella organisations. One way this happens is through the competences map A4 on page 18, and another is through the “dream shop” and associated roles starting from page 22. Finally, it covers the topic of recruitment and welcoming of volunteers within third sector organisations.
